For the last 29 years, he worked for Robert Merrick and his Family. Jerry considered them as his extended family. Jerry was never one to just sit by and twiddle his thumbs. He was Mr. Fix It. If he wasn’t working on his 52 Chevy Sedan, he was out hunting deer and fishing. He was also a great cook. His nieces and nephews loved to come over and eat some sausage gravy and bacon. Jerry was the same quiet, simple country man no matter what. This beloved husband and father passed from this life on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 in Kansas, OK at the age of 63. He will be greatly missed.
Those that have gone on before him include his parents, two brothers, JD “Skinner”, and Bobby Gene Shrum, one sister, Shirley McKie, and one son, Curtis Bridges
