Jimmie Rogers Washington

Funeral services for Jimmie Rogers Washington will be held on Monday, December 7th, 2015 at 2:30 PM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Bill Holcomb officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2015 from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment will be held at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK. Pallbearers for Jimmie include James Washington, Michael Chitty, Brian Washington, Demitrius Washington, Andra Washington, and Stuart Washington. Honorary pallbearers include Leo Wayne Washington, Jonathan Washington, William Washington, John Girty, Jerry Girty, Bobby Girty, and Ryan Girty.

Jimmie Rogers Washington was born on September 4th, 1957, in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Emma Jane Washington. Jimmie made his living as a mason in the construction industry. He worked hard and took great pride in his work. Jimmy served our nation in the National Guard. When he had a little down time, he enjoyed the company of his family and playing pranks and telling jokes. He had two daughters, Stephanie and Lisa, and was so very proud of their accomplishments and families. Jimmie passed from this life on December 1st, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was 58 years old. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jane Washington.

Jimmie is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Bohlken and Lisa Toothman and husband Gene all of Wichita, KS and one son, Zachary Pritchett. He leaves three brothers, Leo Washington and wife Cheryl of Calera, OK, Leon Washington and wife Norma of Cookson, OK, and Curtis Washington and wife Jeanette of Hulbert, OK. His memory lives on through his six grandchildren, Malia, Gabriel, Nigel, Steven, Anessa, and Kiyah. Jimmie also leaves two aunts, Rachel Girty and Wanda Girty, as well as a many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
