Joann "Baby Girl" (Caviness) Lochner

Joann “Baby Girl” (Caviness) Lochner began her life on April 30, 1962 in Tahlequah, OK the daughter of Elmer and Inez (Swimmer) Caviness. She was one of eight children to bless the home. Having a large family suited her well as she had so much love to share with each of them. After meeting the love of her life Ralph Lochner, she married, and began a family of her own raising one boy and three girls, Shawn, Kristin “Krissy”, Marsha and Miranda. Joann’s family brought her joy in life, no matter what they were doing, from grilling a burger, and floating the river to just setting around the house watching the beloved grandkids play it kept a smile on her face. When the house was not full of the family she loved, she still had her fur babies to cuddle with and keep her company. If you did not find Joann at the house hanging out, you could be sure to find her with her friends at the casino enjoying those high dollar penny machines at 20 cents a spin. Baby Girl was a joy to be around and made friends wherever she went. She was always willing to help anyone that asked, and give anything she could. Unfortunately, her health began to fade, at the age of 61, on May 18, 2023 in Tahlequah, OK; she passed from this life and joined her parents and husband in heaven.

Left to remember all the love she shared include her son, Shawn Lochner of Tahlequah, OK, three daughters Krissy Lochner and Buddy Potts, Marsha Schaffler and Travis, and Miranda Caviness all of Tahlequah, OK, three brothers Ray Caviness and Kim, William Caviness and Roy Caviness, four sisters; Peggy Philpott, Doris Wilson and Carl, Carolyn Boston, and Crystle Caviness. Her legacy will live on in her eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as, numerous other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services for Joann “Baby Girl’ Lochner will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Reed Culver Chapel with Brother Randall Carey officiating.
