Joann Rider

Joann enjoyed filling her days with the things she loved most. Whether she was out shopping, meeting family for a good meal, catching a movie, or listening to her favorite music, she found joy in life's everyday moments. She was also a devoted sports fan who rarely passed up the opportunity to watch a game, no matter the sport or who was playing. More than anything, Joann treasured the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed being together, sharing stories around the table, and making memories that her loved ones will carry with them for years to come.

Joann is survived by her brother, Richard Rider; her sisters, Theresa Rider and Sally Shell; her devoted caretaker, Lillie Smith; the compassionate nurses who cared for her during her final days; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Rider Sr. and Polly (Leach) Rider; her brothers, Sam Rider Jr., Kenneth Joe Rider, Julius Daniel Rider, and Ronald Dean Rider; and her sisters, Margaret Jane Welty and Evelyn Sue Dawson, and her dear friend, Virginia Risenhoover.

Joann's family will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. If there's shopping to be done, a game to watch, or a good meal to enjoy, they'd like to think she's already found the best seat in the house. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
