OBITUARY

John Paul Baluh

August 7, 1991October 29, 2012

John Paul Baluh was born August 7, 1991 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. He died October 29, 2012 at the age of 21. John was a fun loving and beautiful soul. He was a much loved son, brother and friend.

He graduated from Cascia Hall in Tulsa, Oklahoma in May of 2010. After graduating from The Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in the spring of 2012, he had returned to Tulsa to attend The University of Tulsa Business School .

John was working as a sous chef and evening manager at The Muscle Maker Restaurant in south Tulsa while taking a full load of business courses at the university. John loved hiking, camping, biking, and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed time with his grandfather, Louis Timp, who was a major force in his life.

John was extremely well rounded and diversely talented. He was a trained chef, he interned at Disney World, he earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do under Grand Master Wilson Vann in Tahlequah, he was an excellent dancer, an aspiring artist, and in his senior year of high school he played the role of Macbeth on stage. John truly lived in the moment.

Countless friends and acquaintances were deeply saddened to hear the news of John’s passing.

He will be sorrowfully missed by his mother, Hope, siblings Graham, Agatha, Elisabeth, Rachel, Juliana, Claude and his father, David.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Dr. Baluh, I am so sorry to hear about the death of your son, John, and I can only imagine what you and your family must be going through. There's nothing anyone can say or do at a time like this to make things better. Only time will make this loss more bearable. Just know that you have many friends who care deeply for you and are lifting you and your family up in prayer. I pray the Lord will bless you and your family with peace.

So sorry for the loss of your son, John. My son played soccer with him and my grandson was in his graduating class. Both Chris and Don send their love and prayers for your family.

I hope that you can find comfort knowing that God now holds John in the palm of his hand. We will continue to pray for peace and comfort during the holiday season when I know that you will miss him so very much.

With love and prayers,
