Johnnie Louise Green

Tahlequah, OK- Funeral Services for Johnnie Louise Green will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 9, 2012 in the Reed Culver Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow at Westmore Land –Rose Cemetery in Lowery, OK, visitation will be Wednesday August 8, 2012 from Noon until 8 :00 P.M. the family will be available to receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Reed Culver Funeral Home.

Johnnie Louise Green was born on March 17, 1942, in Stilwell, OK, the daughter of Chub and Glovanna (Fite) Dougherty. Johnnie grew up in the Tahlequah area and met the Love of her life, J.L. Green, and they would spend 50 wonderful years together. Johnnie loved the simple things of life such as sitting outside enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, and she especially enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows such as Andy Griffith, and the Beverly Hillbillies. She also liked to go shopping at Wal-Mart and spent many hours with her crossword puzzles and coloring books. Most of all Johnnie loved her family and the times spent playing with the grandchildren and telling stories. Johnnie lived for 70 years until her passing on August 2, 2012.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Joe Allen Dougherty, and a step sister Barbara Dougherty.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband J.L. of the home, her Sons Robert Allen Green, David John Green and Carl Deeaa Green, all of Tahlequah, her four daughters Darlene Matlock, Charlene Strand of Tahlequah, OK, Carlene Moreland and husband Tommy of Tulsa, OK, and Quata Allison and husband Don of Midland, TX, her brother Billy Bob Dougherty of Tahlequah, OK, 10 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
