Kara Sue Lowery was born on December 27th, 1989 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Kenneth Allen Still and Joanne Lowery. She attended school in Tahlequah, Grand View, and Keys. Her passion for softball started when she was young. She played t-ball from the time she could swing a bat and played various positions throughout her playing years. You could find our family in the softball fields from sunup to sundown, while she played for Grand View until she graduated out of 8th grade. She occasionally played co-ed softball for a while.
Her pride and joy was her babies who live on as her legacy, Chloe Denise was born on November 21, 2007. She was the first born and of course she had hair. This is where “Papa became known name around the house and NawNaw name was invented too. Then about a year and a half later, along came another beautiful baby girl Lashay Nicole. She was born on August 18, 2009. Kara loved her girls so much. Once seen in a beautiful outfit, they would spill something on their clothes, and Kara would feel she had to buy them a new outfit. The girls where well taken care of, their Momma loved them so much. Four years later, she added another baby to the bunch, Elijah Allen. He was born on December 10, 2016 and her family was complete.
Spending holidays with family was Kara’s favorite tradition, one that she kept for years.
Her time on earth was cut short too soon. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2021 at the age of 31.
She was preceded in death by her father’s parents, William Lee Still and Betty Sue Still and her mother’s father, Leo Lowery.
Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Kenneth Allen Still and mother, Joanne Lowery, and grandmother, Betty Lowery all of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She leaves one half-sister, Casi Lynn. Kara lives on in her beautiful children, Chloe Denise of Tahlequah, Lashay Nicole of Grand Rapids, IA and Elijah Allen of Haskell, OK. These precious babies will carry the legacy of their mother for years to come. Kara also leaves one sibling of the home, to carry on the legacy of reminding her babies of what kind of sister and mother Kara was, Charlotte Lowery and companion, James Cates of Haskell. She also leaves her many aunts, uncles, and plenty of cousins to rely upon remembering Kara and the memories she made.
Friends that have gathered her today never forget the memories you made with Kara.
