Kristi Kaye Holmes

Kristi Kaye Holmes was born on March 19th, 1992 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Mark Glory and Savannah Holmes Compton, and her stepfather, Charley Compton. She was raised with four siblings, Robbie Lee, Curtis, Kasandra and April. She grew up in the Tahlequah and Dry Creek communities. She loved time spent with friends and family, swimming and listening to good music. She graduated from Tahlequah High School. She loved to cook and go for long walks in the woods and by the creek. She was always on her phone with her family and friends, keeping up with the latest. She was sweet, kind and loving, would give you the shirt off her back and never met a stranger. She had the best laugh and could light up a room with her smile. It is often the brightest lights that leave the warmest glow. Kristi left this world all too soon on March 26th, 2025 and has left an empty chair that cannot be filled. We will miss her smile, her laugh and the light she gave.

She is preceded in death by her brother Curtis Glory, and her grandparents, Manuel Holmes, George Glory and Rosie Kelley.

Those that will cherish the memory of Kristi include her mother and step father, Savannah and Charley Compton of Tulsa, OK, one brother, Robbie Lee Holmes of Tahlequah, two sisters, Kasandra Mercell and husband Jon of Cookson, and April Hennessee and husband John of Chicken Creek, OK. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Korbin Mercell, Jozey Mercell, Jazlyn Mercell, Kash Mercell, Lanie Hennessee, and Phillip Hennessee. She also leaves her grandmother, Allene Holmes of Dry Creek, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Kristi Kaye Holmes will be conducted on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Rodney Chuculate officiating. Her family will have a visitation on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Barber Cemetery in the Barber Community.

Pallbearers for Kristi include Short Beaver, Tinz Bolin, Sambo Beaver, Barns Holmes, Trey Chuculate, and Little Chris Holmes. Her honorary pallbearer is Kellan Holmes.
