

On June 2, 1952 Leo married the love of his life Louise Maher and to this union 5 children were born. Leo retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 32 years of working on the railways. In his retirement he enjoyed taking care of the farm, working on cars, collecting coins and going to a flea market here and there when he got the chance. Leo was a founding member of the Church of God Seventh Day and served on the board for over 30 years. He enjoyed volunteering at the Bread of Life Food Bank for over 14 years. Leo loved God and he loved his family. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son: Claude Taylor; 3 brothers: Major Langston, Albert Taylor, and Tommy Taylor; and 1 sister Marie Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 58 years Louise Taylor of the home in Tahlequah; 1 son: David Taylor and wife Denise of Tahlequah; 3 daughters: Marietta Ullrich and husband Calvin of Tahlequah, Janice Ullrich of Tahlequah and Vivian Woolsey and husband David of Siloam Springs, AR; 2 brothers: Jess Taylor of Hulbert and Bill Taylor and wife Lois of Muskogee; 2 sisters: Pauline Summerlin and husband Don of Ft. Gibson and Aliene Stanley of Tahlequah; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
Pallbearers are Jerad Ullrich, Jeremy Ullrich, Jason Ullrich, Matt Taylor, Mark Taylor, and Calvin “Bud” Ullrich. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Woolsey and Corey Taylor.
Funeral Services will be Monday October 25, 2010 at the Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Elder Clyde Hinds and Pastor Calvin “Bud” Ullrich officiating. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah, OK.
