Lillian Beatrice Champlain Chase was born on November 16th, 1940, in Park Hill, OK, the daughter of William Joseph and Vivian Beatrice (Scott) Champlain. She grew up in the Tulsa area and attended school at Webster High School. There was a large family at home: Leatrice “Eli”, Ronald “Rastum”, Robert, Thomas “Red”, Dale, Virginia “Shot”, Bill “Pete”, Johnny and Juana “Noog”. She worked various jobs through her life but was primarily a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends, going out dancing, visiting the day away. She was outgoing and never met a stranger she couldn’t talk to. In her later years, she enjoyed attending church services, bible study and singing the old gospel hymns. She also loved playing bingo and crocheting. Her life wasn’t always easy. She lost her husband, Ralph, her only son, Tim, all of her brothers and all but one of her sisters. Her health caused her anxious moments but her smile never faded. She longed for home and all of her family and loved ones gone on before her. She passed from this life on August 2nd, 2024 in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Daisy Scott, her mother and father, her husband Ralph Chase, her son, Timothy Wayne Champlain, six brothers (Rastum, Robert, Red, Dale, Pete, and Johnny), two sisters (Eli and Shot) as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
Those left to celebrate her life include her last surviving sister, Juana Janice “Noog” York and husband Charles of Tahlequah, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
