

Lily was born and raised in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, in the Parris community near Gideon. She was the middle child of eleven. She went to school in a one room school house though the 8th grade. With no high schools nearby and no transportation, this was the end of her formal schooling. She married James Henry Fredrick Jr, May 3rd, 1941. They lived in and around Tahlequah until the war called James to service in 1942. She followed him to wherever he was stationed, living in several different locations. After the war, they ended up in Bakersfield, California. There they built a house and had their first child. Later they moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Tulsa, where her two other children were born. She was a stay at home mother until all her children were raised and then she worked in Lindsey Elementary School in the cafeteria. When James retired they bought land and built a house just outside of Locust Grove. There they lived until the age of ninety when they moved to Broken Arrow Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Carolyn Ann Shaver and husband Ronnie, Loretta Sue DeSantiago and husband George and Patricia Kay Bomar and husband Jim; grandchildren, Michelle Cox and husband Joe, Rhonda Lane and husband Jay, Clark Shaver and wife Susan, Jimmie Bomar and wife Amy and Lily Owens and husband Luke; twenty-one great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, two great grandchildren on the way and 1 great great grandchild; two sisters, Lucy Halpain and Christeen Redfern as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Noah, Owen, Bim and Closen; sisters, Carrie Parris, Anna Parris, Eura Greece and Margie Dailey and two great grandchildren.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
