Linda Mae Johnson was born on February 10, 1956 in Prairie Grove, AR, the daughter of Claude and Nancy (McKee) Johnson. She grew up attending school in the Hulbert. She worked most of her adult life at Midwestern Container Farms, raising trees and shrubs. When she wasn’t working, she hung out with the people she loved most, her brothers and sisters. She adored John Lee, Thomas, Billy “Blackie”, Clem, Martha Jo, Juanita, and Anita. She also loved her half brother and sister, Lola and Claude. She had many nieces and nephews who she adored as if they were her own kids. She loved to grab a coke and curl up on the couch to watch her favorite shows, Perry Mason and Matlock. She liked to work puzzle books, and go meet her friends at the Casino. If the family was going for a bike ride or a trip to the river to swim, Linda was ready to go! She actually was ready to go and do anything, but had drawn the line at flea markets and garage sales, these she avoided. The best times were the times she gathered with all of her family for a holiday or birthday dinner and celebration, she adored them. For all she had planned to do, Linda passed from this life on July 20th,2022 in Tahlequah, OK, surrounded by those she loved. She was 66 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Emma McKee and Josiah Oosahwee and her paternal grandparents, Clem Johnson and Jeannie Littlejohn. She joins her mother and father, her brothers John and Clem one sister Martha Jo Foster, and her great nieces and nephews, Shirley Johnson, Alton Ray Johnson, and Carolyn Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers and sisters, Thomas Johnson of Tahlequah, Billy Ray “Blackie” Johnson of Tahlequah, Juanita Moreno and husband Francisco of Tahlequah, Anita Leonard and husband Millard Leonard of Pryor, half sister Lola Smith and husband Arly of Lynnwood, KS, and half brother, Claude Johnson Jr of Kansas City, KS.
