L.S. Parris

Graveside services for L.S. Parris will be conducted on Monday, December 14th, 2020 , at 10:00 AM at Parris Cemetery with Brother Jason Gann officiating. His family will have visitors on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

L.S. Parris was born on August 11th, 1937 in Gideon, OK, the son of Carrie Lee Parris. He was raised in Cherokee County and established a lifelong home and ranch in Creek County, OK. On May 8th, 1959, he married his best friend, Shirley Ann Talbott, and together they shared 60 years of memories, laughter and a few mishaps along the way, but always together. They also raised their sons, Mark and Ricky LS Parris. L.S. earned his living as a Foreman in a Fabrication Plant, working in the construction industry all of his life. When he wasn’t working long, hard hours, he loved training race horses. He could bring out the fire they possessed inside, and produce the best in racer they could be. He enjoyed hunting deer or heading to his favorite fishing hole to spend a quiet afternoon. He often tagged along with Shirley to Happy Corner for a morning cup of coffee and a little story telling. They enjoyed watching the sun set on their own porch with their faithful canine companion ”Boss Man” between them. Mark died unexpectedly and Shirley died in 2019. L.S. carried on and kept up with his son, Rick and his wife, Deanna. L.S. passed from this life on December 8th, 2020 in Mannford, OK, after reaching the age of 83 year, and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, wife Shirley and son Mark.

He will be fondly remembered by his surviving son, Rick and his wife Deanna of Mannford, OK, as well as cousins, and a host of friends and co workers he has made along the way.
