

Disney, OK- Funeral services for Lynda Gaylene Jones will be held on Monday, January 27th, 2014 at the Redbird Smith ceremonial grounds in Vian, OK at 2:00 PM with Ceremonies by Chief David Teehee and Mr. K.T. “Hutkie” Field. Visitation will be held at her home in Disney, OK on Sunday, January 26th, 2014 beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be held at McCoy Cemetery in Vian, OK. The pallbearers for Lynda include Matthew Wilson, Phillip King Jr., Jobie Fields, James Wolfe, Shawn Wagnon, and Curtis Fields.
Lynda Gaylene Jones was born on December 18th, 1970 in Gravette, AR the daughter of Joe and Mary Elizabeth (Dirtseller) Jones. She attended school at Jay, OK and was raised with her three brothers, Bob, Phillip, and Galen. She was a traditional woman with traditional values. She was a homemaker and took great pride in her husband, her daughters, and family. She married the love of her life, Mark Six, on April 1st, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Disney. Together they raised four daughters, Aundrea, Meigan, Samantha, and Kinleigh. Lynda loved her family deeply and was always supporting her daughters in their many activities, from Color-guard to Choir to Cheerleading. She enjoyed time spent on the computer. She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed Alabama Softball. You could often find Lynda on the road in her community, checking on her friends and family, looking out for the other people. She was generous, loving, and kind hearted. She was proud of her Keetoowah heritage and a member of the Stoke Smith Ceremonial Grounds in Vian, OK. Lynda passed from this life on January 21st, 2014 in Tulsa, OK with her family gathered close by her side. Lynda was 43 years old. She will be greatly missed by the many friends and family she leaves behind.
Lynda is preceded in death by her mother, her father, and her grandparents, Elmer and Jenny Dirtseller and Charley and Nina Jones, and niece Lakken Rhe Smith and nephew Julius Eagle Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mark Six of the home in Disney, four adored daughters, Aundrea, Meigan, Samantha, and Kinleigh Six of the home. She leaves three beloved brothers, Bob Jones of Oaks, OK, Phillip Jones of Oaks, OK, and Galen Smith and wife Mandy of Salina, OK, four adored nieces, Alicia Jones, Bobbie Leigh Jones-Tagg, Caitlyn Smith, and Makeile Smith and a nephew, Taylen Aaron Smith, as well as many cousins a and a host of friends and loved ones.
