

Maggie Nicole "Em Jay" Ketcher-Jones was born on June 4th,1989 in Tahlequah, OK, to Albert and Joyce (Vann) Ketcher. She departed this life on November 17th, 2024 at the age of 35. Maggie was a lifelong resident of Kansas, OK, where she grew up with her beautiful and best friend, her sister, Arlene (Vann) Pair. Growing up, Maggie attended Kansas School where she made lots of lifelong friends. She loved playing basketball and soft ball in her younger school days. Maggie had the most beautiful and unique smile and laugh that would light up any room and a caring heart that never met a stranger. She had a passion for music and was always jamming out. She loved spending time with her family especially her three nephews, who she would do anything for at the drop of a hat. Later in years, Maggie went to work at the Cherokee Casino Hotel, and later worked at the restaurant, “The Harvest House”, where she got to see lots of family and friends. Later in her life, Maggie gave birth to an adorable little baby boy Treyshawn Rashad Jones. A few years later, she gave birth to her precious beautiful baby girl, Behati Joyvuhnii Jones. Maggie was a proud and loving Mom, whom would have done anything to make her babies happy. A few of their favorite things to do was go out and eat Chinese, movies and the trampoline park. She loved spending time in Chewey at her Grandpa and Grandma’s house with family and going to the river. Maggie was proud of her babies in all that they accomplished. She really enjoyed watching them play sports and was their biggest fan. Maggie loved to go to different places, especially back roading and listening to music. She had the sweetest heart and loved everyone she crossed paths with and her beautiful smile will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Maggie is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willie and Willie Mae (Hogshooter) Vann, Paternal great grandparents, Jonas and Maggie (Hider) Glass, and Maternal great grandparents, Tom and Lydia (Crittenden) Vann. She also joins five uncles, Clifford Vann, Adam Vann, Jimmy Jay Vann, David Ketcher, Wesley Ketcher, one aunt, Lucinda Chewie, 1 nephew, Colton Brian Vann Cochran, and two cousins, Clifton Brian Vann “Buddy” and Kaira Margarita Pineda.
Maggie leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents, Albert and Joyce (Vann) Ketcher, of the home, her children, Treyshawn and Behati Jones of the home. She leaves her sister, Arlene Pair and husband Eddie of Twin Oaks, OK, her loving grandmother, Martha Glass-Ketcher of Oaks, OK, and her aunts and uncles, Christina Fixin and husband Pastor Gerald of Rocky Ford, OK, Rosie Vann Young and the late husband Steve of Chewey, OK, Judy Ketcher and husband Terry Lynch of Siloam Springs, AR, Jamie Ketcher of Oaks, OK, Cecil Vann and the late Sherrie Vann of Oaks, OK, Daniel Vann and wife Tina of Colcord, OK, Johnathan Chewie and wife Kim of Flint Ridge, OK, and Aunt Jullie Wallace. She leaves her nephews and great nieces, Swain Everett Foreman and wife Emma of Kansas, OK, Daran Lain Vann and girlfriend Teri Leaf of Twin Oaks, OK, Willie Ryan Edward Vann of Twin Oaks, OK, Neila Rae Vann Foreman, Kelsey Killie Vann, and Rainey Heavenly Grace Vann all of Twin Oaks, OK. Maggie also leaves behind numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Maggie Nicole Ketcher Jones will be conducted on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Galilean Church of Kansas with Pastor Susan Reed and Brother David Tucker officiating. Her family will receive guest on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Crittenden Cemetery near Illinois River Baptist Church near Chewey, OK.
Pallbearers for Maggie include Swain Foreman, Willie Ryan Edward Vann, Mario Pineda, Derrick Campos, Seth Starr and Amos Hearon. Her Honorary Pallbearers include Daran Vann, Eddie Pair, Mario Pineda Jr., Jimmy Pineda and Cody Bill Smith.
