Margaret Lee (George) Carr was born on August 20th, 1949 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Andy “Frank” and Wanda (Gordon) George. She grew up with four brothers and two sisters, David, Harry, James, Richard, Patricia and Wanda. She attended Tahlequah High School and then decided on a career as a nurse. She attended Bacone College and graduated with her Nursing Degree. She would work in ICU at Tahlequah City Hospital for the duration of her career. She was very family oriented and raised a family of three children, two sons, Mark and James and one daughter, Kimberly. They were her pride and joy. When she wasn’t working, she was home in the kitchen and her culinary skills knew no bounds, she could cook anything. She was an avid traveler and found her favorite place to be the beach, with warm sand and blue ocean. There wasn’t a book she didn’t like and read every chance she got. Margaret had two grandchildren, Sarah and Willow, and she was always happiest when spending time listening to their stories of the day’s activities and planning their next adventure. Margaret had a warm smile and a way of making you feel at home. She was kind, compassionate and selfless. A Christian by faith, she attended the Baptist Church. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her many labors on February 7th, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK. Margaret was 72 years old. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
