Mary Ann Briggs Fritts, or “Hennie,” was the daughter of Bertie Briggs and Narcissa Chair Briggs, passed away during the early morning hours of October 31, 2019 at the age of 86 years old in the holler where she grew up. Hennie loved her church and church family; she treasured being surrounded in the outdoors and especially loved fishing for perch with her old trusty cane pole. She loved gathering her wild onions, greens and mushrooms when they were in season and enjoyed sharing her gatherings with friends and family. She went to church and faithfully served the Lord Jesus Christ and loved spending time with and taking care of her family.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by parents Bertie and Narcissa, her husband Dwain “Dude” Fritts, one son David Fritts, one daughter Dana Delayne Fritts Stanley, three brothers, three sisters, nine nephews, two nieces and one great niece.

Those left to remember Mary Ann are two sons Mitchel Fritts, husband of Gay Fritts, and Billy Fritts, husband of Brandy Fritts, all of Tahlequah, two grandsons Willie Fritts of Tahlequah and Nathan Hammer, husband of Victoria Hammer of Stillwater, three grand-daughters Ashlee Fritts of Tahlequah, Britanie Fritts and fiancée Trent Johnston of Tahlequah, Kay Lynn Holliday and husband Justin Holliday of Yukon. Six great grandsons Kannon, Ethan and Brayden Holliday, Wyatt Fritts, Braxton Fritts and Jaxon Hammer, three great grand-daughters Caely “Bug”, Kaydence Johnston and Joanna Hammer and many more nieces, nephews and other family members whom she loved so dearly.

I first met Mary Ann when dude hauled us to the jr rodeos. The first thing i knew was that for Mary Ann it was God and family first i never saw this waiver and when i had my sons she was thrilled to feed them whenever they came around. Mary Ann was so loved by dude and her children and i know she will be missed by the Mich and Bill their wives and her grandchildren. We will see you again in heaven.Mary Ann.

So sorry for your loss. I met Mary Ann through Dana years ago. She was such a sweet, loving, jolly, Christian lady who sure loved her Lord. I visited with her a couple of months ago. She truly loved her family also. This great lady will be missed. Sending our prayers and condolences.

Mary was the sweetest loving and caring woman. If it wasn't for her and Dude my mom and dad would've never gotten together. She always had a kind word to say. But God took his special angle home yesterday cause her job on this earth was done. Rest in peace Mary, love you
