Michael "Mike" David Calico

Michael David Calico, or Mike to his many friends, was born on December 9th, 1958 in Tahlequah, Ok, the son of Henry D. and Juanita (Isaac) Calico. He was raised in a family with his brothers and sisters, Tommy, Steve, Lemone, Connie and Tonya. He graduated from high school and began his working career as an electrician. He was a hard working man, who knew the value of a hard days work done right. When he wasn’t working, he was home carving wood and doing beautiful artwork. He could fix a car and paint it anyway he wanted. He never lost the chance to be with the family he loved. His children were important as was the holidays and any chance they all gathered together. He was the proud father to one son and one daughter, David and Danna. He loved ay chance to hear of the grandchildren’s latest activity, and he thought there was no one better then his Braxton, Skylar, Lonna and Bo. In 2014, he married Jackie Clinton. He loved people and it showed. He would go the extra mile to make people happy or to help them in anyway he could. Mike was proud of his Cherokee heritage and loved living life in the Cherokee tradition. He loved life just the way he found it, the sunset in his own backyard in the company of his favorite canine companion, Banjo. He passed from this life on May 23rd, 2022 at his home in Tahlequah. He was 63 years old.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and father, and his brother Lemone.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jackie of Tahlequah, OK. He leaves his son, David Calico of Wagoner, OK, and his daughter, Danna Faith of Florida. His brothers and sisters include, Tommy Calico, Steve Calico, Connie Calico and Tonya Calico. He lives on in his four grandchildren, Braxton Faith, Skylar Faith, Lonna Calico, and Bo Calico, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Michael “Mike” David Calico will be held on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Chaplain Kevin Webster officiating. Honorary pallbearers for Mike include Ed Crittenden, Scott Fredrick and Andy Hathcoat.
