

Tahlequah, OK- Graveside Services for Nancy Ann Wendt-Deel will be held on Friday, October 12th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sentinel Cemetery in Sentinel, OK. Services are being officiated by Pastor Billy Joe Loller of Carter Baptist Church in Park Hill, OK. Services are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, OK.
Nancy Ann Deel was born on August 17th, 1942 in Sentinel, OK the daughter of Roy Lee Augustine and Mary Elizabeth (Moore) Wendt. Nancy grew up in Sentinel and attended high school there. Nancy was a landscape artist by trade. When she wasn’t trimming lawn and shrubs, she was hauling hay. Nancy didn’t sit down much. She was spirited and energetic. She loved dogs and was apt to have at least one canine companion with her on her ventures. She loved people and loved to see them smile. Nancy always kept a bag of bubble gum with her in case you needed a sweet treat. She adored her family, and loved any time spent with her grandmother, mother and two sisters. Nancy married her first husband Kenneth Gallagher and later would marry her second husband Bobby Joe Deel. Nancy began having health issues in 2006 and moved into the Grace Living Center on Cherrie Street. Nancy was a Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sentinel. The Lord called Nancy home from her labors on October 8th, 2012 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 70 years old. She will be greatly missed for her wonderful smile.
Nancy is preceded in death by her mother Mary Elizabeth Watson, her father, one sister, Ruby Eugene Wendt, one daughter, Virginia Ann Deel, her first husband, Kenneth Gallagher, and second husband, Bobby Joe Deel.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Sandy Hagel and husband Ron of Park Hill, OK, and Sharon Lee Cook and her husband Billy Ray of Stilwell, OK. Her legacy lives on in her nieces and nephews, Theresa Irwin and husband Bill of Lubbock, TX, Tiffany Mahoney and husband Val of Stilwell, OK, Michelle Pummill of Stilwell, OK, and Brenda Dumas and husband Brandon of Amarillo, TX, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
Those wishing to extend their sympathies to the family are asked to consider the Sentinel Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
