Nora Lee Perez was born on February 8th, 1968 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Elizabeth (Wolfe) England and Buck Childress. She was raised with one brother CB and two sisters, Theresa and Ahniwake, she was the baby of the family. She grew up in Tahlequah and graduated from high school there. She started classes at Northeastern State University. She possessed a deep love of people and was an incredibly caring person. She always sought out careers where she could help others. She worked at People Inc., and worked with individuals needing help with daily chores. She worked as a clerk at local gas stations, anywhere there were people. When she wasn’t working, she was the proud mother of four amazing children, Theron, Derek, Candace, and Michael. Every moment she was free was with her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest supporter in all they tried and accomplished. She was a woman of many talents, she could crochet afghans and cardigans, write poetry, ride scooters with the grandkids, and never miss a special event. She was light hearted, spontaneous, and flashed a smile that would light up the darkest room. Generosity was her hallmark, if you needed something and she had it, it was yours with no questions asked. She was fond of her feline sidekicks and enjoyed a good comedy movie. A Christian by faith, she would attend Elmdale Baptist Church with her daughter, were she rededicated her life to Christ here. Life wasn’t always easy for Nora. Yet her faith in God, her love for her family and friends and her unwavering ability to stand up to adversity made her all the more endearing to those of us that knew and loved her. She loved her life just the way she found it, and the view from her own front door was fine by her. For all she had planned, the Lord called this hard working and fun loving woman home from her many labors on November 30th, 2024 in Springdale, AR, surrounded by those that knew and loved her. She was 56 years old and leaves memories and smiles for a lifetime.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, and her brother, CB Ratliff.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Theron Martin Perez of Keene, NH, Derek Martin Perez of McAlester, OK, Candace Webb and husband Christain of Springdale, AR, and Michael Martin Perez of Barling, AR.
