Patricia Ann Grimmett

Patricia began her life on November 19th, 1948 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Loy and Ocie (McCleland) Millsap. She joined a family of four brothers and five sisters, Ella Mae, Mary, Troy, Jerry Wayne, George Ray, Donna, Dean, and Rosette. She graduated from Tahlequah high School in 1968. She married her best friend Richard Grimmett in Tahlequah, OK on her birthday. Together they would raise a family of one son and one daughter, Kenneth and Jeannie. Richard traveled all over the continental United States as a cross country trucker and Patricia was usually found close by his side. She possessed a great sense of humor that made it easy for her to keep him company on the long roads they traveled. When she was home, she loved to read a good romance novel. She kept a tidy house and made the best fried bread, pies and cobblers. She could sew and quilt with the best of them, often sharing with a neighbor under the weather, or anyone stopping by her house. She loved to go to the flea markets. She was a Christian by faith, she read her Bible daily and tried to instill to her family her faith. She passed from life on January 26th, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK, after reaching the age of 73 years old. We will miss her laughter, her smile, encouragement, and her warm hugs.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, her husband Richard in 2006, her daughter Helen, and sister, Ella Mae and her brothers Troy, Jerry, and George Millsap.

She lives on in her children, Kenneth Grimmett and Jeannie Grimmett of Tahlequah. She adored her grandchildren, Corey James, Justine Wilkin, Jaylene Wilkin and Jared Wilkin. Her brother and sisters include Dean Millsap in Kansas, Mary Lowery  of Owasso, OK, Donna Crow of Tahlequah, Rosette Terrell of Tulsa, OK. She has so many friends thankful for this beautiful and talented woman.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Millsap-Grimmett will be held on Monday, February 7th, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Her family will have a visitation on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver. She will be laid to rest at Caney Cemetery in Welling, OK next to her husband Richard. Pallbearers for Patricia include Donald Amen, Lee Towie, Blue Bluebird, Andy Crow, Dillon Bluebird, Charles Grimmett, and Jared Wilkin.
