Edna Pauline Sounders, 79, of Tahlequah, OK, passed peacefully on October 12, 2025. She was born February 22, 1946, to Eli and Sarah Ann (Williams) Blossom. Pauline was known for her kind heart, steady faith, and the way she made people feel welcome. She lived a simple, honest life and cared deeply for her family.
She married the love of her life, Louis Sounders, on July 18, 1966. Together they built a life grounded in hard work, family, and faith. Pauline enjoyed attending the Church of Christ, spending time in her kitchen, and going to watch just about any kind of ballgame. She spent her days working hard, caring for others, and keeping her home running the way she liked it.
Her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandson, Hunter, and was proud of the family she and Louis raised. Her family will remember her as the backbone of the bunch, steady, caring, and always there when it mattered most.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Sarah Blossom; her husband, Louis Sounders; and one son, Jimmy Sounders.
Those left to carry on her memory are her daughter, Tiffany and husband Randy Gower of Tahlequah, OK; one very special grandson, Hunter Gower; three brothers, Kenneth Blossom of Oaks, OK, Bobby Blossom of Welling, OK, and Darrell Blossom of Teresita, OK; and three sisters, Margaret Wilson, Evelyn Gritts, and Sandy Houston, all of Tahlequah, OK. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her deeply.
