Pearl Spradlin Williams was born on August 9th, 1918 in Moody, OK, the daughter of Frank Spradlin and Ada Beamer Spradlin. She grew up in a family with two brothers and four sisters, Lewis, Bill, Alice, Linnie, Minnie and Ruby. She attended school and then met and married the love of her life and her best friend, Edmond William on December 13th, 1934 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 16 years old when she began her role as wife and mother, and together they shared 73 years and would raise a family of two sons and two daughters, Eulis who passed at the age of three, Luther, Chris, and Euva. Pearl was a hard working woman, keeping a home for her husband and children, cleaning house, cooking meals, washing and mending clothes. There was a never a dull moment. She loved being outdoors, working in the garden raising beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She loved time spent with her children and especially her grandchildren, they were the apples of her eye. She always made sure there was something good for them to eat when they came to visit, and loved spending a day listening to all their activities. She enjoyed a little quiet time quilting and working crossword puzzles or reading. A Christian by faith, she was a member of the Peggs Community Church and loved all of her church family, serving in whatever capacity was asked of her. Husband passed in 2007, and Pearl spent the remainder of her days surrounded by the family she loved so much. The Lord called this good and faithful servant home from her labors on March 14th, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. She was 99 years old and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Edmond, her son Eulis, two brothers, Lewis and Bill Spradlin, four sisters, Alice Brookshire, Linnie Applegate, Minnie Fisher, and Ruby Stephens, and one granddaughter, Lisa Rose Williams.
Those left to cherish Pearl’s memory include her children, Luther Williams and wife Millie of Peggs, OK, Chris Clingan and Dr. Frank Clingan of Tulsa, OK, and Euva Dill-Porter and husband Marvin of Coweta, OK. She lives on in her five grandchildren, Cindy Lawson, Rhonda Carr and husband Mark, Shannon Williams, Shanon Clingan Alexander and Rodney, Luke Williams and Skeeter. She also leaves eight great grandchildren, Adam Lawson and wife Erin, Sarah Bailey and husband DJ, Byron Alexander, Will Carr, Lisa Williams, Katie Williams, Jessica Williams and Stetson Cook, two very special friends, Peggy Robbins and Charlene Lyons, and one special cousin, Frank Spradlin and wife Cathy from San Jacinto, CA, well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
