Ralph J. Hodge

Funeral services for Ralph Junior Hodge will be held on Thursday, August 4th, 2016 at 11:00 am at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Loyd Kester officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Wayne Dallis, Luther Wayne Dallis, Carl Lee Dallis, Travis Pack, Mark Washington, and Danny Deckard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Washington, Brandon Poteet, James Spencer, and Bill Deckard.

Ralph began his adventure on November 27, 1931 in Tailholt, OK the son of Sam and Saranan (Girdner) Hodge. He was one of nine children to bless the happy couple. On July 20, 1985 he met and married the women that added the sparkle to his eye Glenda Deckard. He was a simple man that enjoyed a relaxing day of listening to music and playing with the dogs. Ralph loved his grandkids, and being with family, especially if it would give him the chance to aggravate them. He was a practical joker by nature and never missed the chance to give someone a good ribbing. Ralph was a good man that will be missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and six brothers; Roy, Raymond, Arthur “Doc”, Alton “Biggin”, Alvin, and Otis Hodge, and three sisters; Elsie Tarrance, Jewell Bolton, and Lillian Hodge,

Those left to share his legacy include his wife Glenda Hodge of the home, three sons; Randall Hodge and wife Kathy, Danny Hodge and wife Teresa, and Travis Pack and fiancé, Kristin Christie, one daughter, Lisa Dallis and husband Carl, a brother, John Hodge and Virginia, ten grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, and a host of other friends and loved ones.
