

Funeral services for Reta Mae Wilson Fain will be held Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Cletus Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery in Chance, OK. Pallbearers for Reta include BJ Whitekiller, Dobson Rooster, Wes-Lee Makarka, Aaron Mason, Charles Collins and Owen Livers. Honorary pallbearers include all of her grandsons, Tristin Gower, Jacob Livers, Kaleb Wilson, Kobe Wilson, and Jaydee Holcomb, and sons-in-law, Jackie Livers and Doyle Gower.
Reta Mae Wilson Fain was born on January 8th, 1948 in Siloam Springs, AR, the daughter of Howard Elton Fain and Madeline (Ross) Sylvester. She grew up in the household with two brothers, Ross and Roger. After finishing high school, Reta married and began her family of three adored children, Melanie, Kenny and Shanon. Never one to sit idle, she worked at the Whirlpool factory, worked as a food service worker, and as a maintenance technician. Yet she found the time to attend college classes to begin a career as a nurse, and still managed to be the world’s best mom. She devoted all of her being to raising her children and grandchildren, and caring for those around her who needed her love and compassion. She was dedicated and selfless, always putting the needs and wants of others ahead of her own. Once her mind was set on a course of action, she marched forward, determined to make the events in her family’s life occur as they should. Where you found Reta, you found her making new friends and enjoyed life. She had so many friends and loved ones. A Christian by faith, Reta attended services at Faith Chapel in Moodys, OK. Reta’s church family was very special to her. Reta at age of 67 years old, passed into Heaven, her eternal home, on December 11th, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. She will be greatly missed by all the family and friends she held dear over the years.
Reta is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ross and Roger.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Melanie Waldroop of Tenkiller Harbor, OK, Kenny Wilson and wife Jennifer of Stuart, OK, and Shanon Gower and husband Doyle of Moody, OK. Her love of life, lives on in her nine grandchildren, Owen Livers of Tenkiller Harbor, Taylor Lopez and husband Facundo of Tahlequah, Jacob Livers of Tahlequah, Kamaryn Ballard of Tenkiller Harbor, Kaleb Wilson, Krystin Wilson, Kobe Wilson and Jaydee Holcomb all of Stuart, OK, and Tristin Gower of Tahlequah, OK. There are three great grandchildren, Jaylee Oliver, of Siloam Springs, AR, Dahlia Livers of Tenkiller Harbor, Cruz Lopez of Tahlequah, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
