Robert Riley Snider was born on October 24th, 1950 in Tulsa, OK ,the son of Oliver Lee and Mattie Corene (Hair) Snider. He grew up in a household with three brothers and one sister, Bill Lee Sr., John Phillip, James Dale and Mary Wendy Snider. He attended school and received his Ged and then decided to go to Tulsa University. Over the rest of his life, Bob would work as a musician, a chef, a welder and a minister to name a few. His first love was his GOD; music , he loved playing , singing and praising the Lord and he played a wide variety of instruments, guitar, violin, bass, piano, organ, mandolin , dulcimer and harmonica with his favorite being the 12 string guitar. Over the years, he has played with a wide variety of artists including Leon Russel under the career name of Trebor Redins. He loved to go fishing, so he became artistic with making fishing poles and lures. He was a shade tree mechanic and loved to tinker on motorcycles, keeping his ride ready to go with his friends in the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Group. There was nothing better than going to the kitchen to see what Bob had prepared, he made wonderful chicken cacciatore and sweet potatoes. He loved people and believed every person on earth had worth. It was probably his ability to talk to people that led him to serve the Lord as an evangelist in Canada, old Mexico and U.S.A., and to become affiliated with Redemption Life Center in Tulsa and Redemption Tabernacle in Haskell. He used his knowledge of people and his ability to play and sing music, and his love of the Lord to teach the Gospel to anyone who would hear him. His family was his pride and joy. It didn’t matter if they were gathered in the living room watching his favorite Star Trek or sitting down to a meal together, he was always ready to be with the family he cherished. On July 31st, 1979 he married Alice May Kerr in Sapulpa, OK. Together they would share 41 ½ years of working side by side, raising a family and working in the ministry. Robert was a true prayer warrior and never stopped praying for anyone that asked him. His health began to fail him and this wonderfully talented man passed from this life on January 28th, 2021, at his home with his wife and his 3 cats that he loved more than life. He was 70 years old and will leave a vacant chair that will never be filled.
Trebor is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Oscar and Mary (Chambers) Snider, his maternal grandparents, John Wesley and Ada (Castleman) Hair, his Mother and Father, two brothers, James and John Snider and one sister Mary Wendy Snider and one nephew Eugene Emil Snider.
