Roger Dale Harvey

Roger Dale Harvey was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1954, in Tahlequah, OK, to Roger Lee Harvey and Gladys Bernice (Fisher) Harvey-Cook. He departed this life on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 19 days.

Growing up, Roger Dale attended numerous elementary schools. He graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1972. On July 22, 1977, he married Norma Jean (Snell) Harvey in Chewey, OK. They were married 33 years before her passing. For most of his adult life, he worked at Jer-Co Industries as a steel worker, where he made many life-long friends.

Roger Dale loved fast-pitch softball. He was a pitcher and made many softball buddies through the years. He played until he HAD to hang up the glove. Even though he couldn’t play anymore, you would still find him at the ballfields watching. Roger Dale loved his family and friends, and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandkids. In his retirement years, he enjoyed going on walks down “Fisher Road,” and drives by the river, over the Nickel Preserve and by the Cherokee Nation Buffalo Ranch with his uncle, Wimp. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roger Dale was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Monroe and Clara (Chaney) Harvey; maternal grandparents Wallace and Minnie (Spradlin) Fisher; his parents; his wife; son, Joshua Harvey; grandson, Kaw-Liga Harvey; granddaughter, Kiden Harvey; daughter-in-law, Casey Rhodd; one brother-in-law, Kaw-Liga Snell; one sister-in-law, Carla Winfield; and many other family members too numerous to list.

Roger Dale is survived by two daughters, Deana Mouse and Myra Harvey and husband Shannon Beaver; two granddaughters, Makayla and Nakiah Mouse; two grandsons, Kyle and Kellan Harvey; one paternal uncle, Lloyd “Wimpy” Harvey; one paternal aunt, Patsy Ingram; one maternal uncle, Norman Fisher and wife Jean; two maternal aunts, Cathy Barnett and husband Paul and Barbara Nace and husband Ronnie; one sister-in-law, Eva Manning; one niece, Abby McLemore and husband Tim; three nephews, Justin Manning and wife Shana, Jarrod Manning and wife Shawna, and Ethan Winfield; and many other family and loved ones too numerous to list.
