Rosalie Cochran Cadwell was born on Thursday, September 12th, 1935 in Independence, KS, the daughter of Price William and Famie Ellen (Botts) Cochran. She was raised in a home with her three brothers and two sisters, Joseph, James, Wendell, Zelda, and Leah. She attended school then began her career as a seamstress, working for many companies making furniture coverings to clothing alterations. She married William Cadwell on February 8th, 1958, and together they raised a family of three daughters and two sons, Debra, Rose, Patricia, Carl, and Guy. Rosalie was the women that could literally sew anything you placed in front of her. She was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in 1945, and she faithfully attended services. She was skilled with crocheting, knitting and made all of her daughter’s clothes. She worked with the Girl Scouts of America and again with the Boy Scouts as a den mother. She had a wonderful smile, and a servants heart. She was always volunteering of her time and talents helping those around her have a better life. She was always making her famous pumpkin and pecan pies to share and the holidays found her making the best fudge and cookies you ever ate. She made sure the childrens cookie jar was filled with homemade goodness. She was a member of the Reorganized Church, or RDLS, in Park Hill, OK until it closed. She faithfully attended and helped with every function, she always took food. Her family was her pride and joy and she never tired of spending time with them just to enjoy a laugh or two. She never allowed her circumstances to dictate her mood. She was calm, level headed, patient and kind. A Christian by faith, the Lord called this humble servant home from her labors on May 20th, 2018 in Tahlequah, OK with her loved ones by her side. She was 82 years old and will be greatly missed.
