

Funeral services for Sylvia Ann “Lucille” Neugin-Simpson will be held on Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Mr. Rick Condit officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20th, 2016 at Reed-Culver Chapel from 2:00 Pm until 6:00 Pm. Interment will be held at Neugin Cemetery in Hulbert, OK. Pallbearers for Lucille include Joe Simpson, Brandon Simpson, Lance Simpson, Anthony Simpson, Ty Knott, Cleatus Simpson, Bo Simpson, Chance Barnes, and Shalon Simpson. Honorary pallbearers include Chantell Jernigan, Lacy Barnes, Timmy Neugin, and Kerry Ray.
Sylvia Ann Lucille Neugin-Simpson was born on Christmas Eve, December 24th 1936, in Lost City, OK at the home of her parents, Titus Buck and Dolly (Cochran) Neugin. She was raised in a home with thirteen brothers and sisters. Upon graduating from high school in Hulbert, OK, she met and married the love of her life and her best friend, Ralph C. Simpson, on January 11th, 1955. Together they raised six children and shared 61 years of life and love in Locust Grove. Lucille was self employed business woman, and owned and operated the Simpson Family Dairy. She was also the owner of S & L Auction Services. Her talents extended to raising hogs, gardening, cooking, she made some wonderful home cooked meals, and spent spare time in search of antiques. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with Ralph, the kids, and keeping up with her grand and great grandchildren. She was so very proud of all their accomplishments, and tried to keep up with all of their sports and school activities. She loved life in the country and never tired of the peace of the farm. She was kind and considerate, always taking time to make someone’s day with her smile. Lucille passed from this life to her eternal rest on June 16th, 2016 in Tulsa, OK with her loved ones by her side. Lucille was 79 years old. She will be greatly missed for the love she gave and the warmth she brought to everyday life.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, nine brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 61 years, Ralph Simpson of Peggs, OK. She leaves six children, Dale Simpson of Locust Grove, OK, Roger Simpson and wife Dawn of Peggs, OK, Teresia Knott of Peggs, OK, Billy Simpson and wife Sandra of Tahlequah, OK, Latashia Barnes and husband Benny of Flora Vista, NM, and Shane Simpson of Dallas, TX. She leaves one sister, Erma Brewer of Tahlequah, OK. Her legacy lives on in her 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
