Tamarah "Mar" Bryanna Johnson

Tamarah Bryanna Johnson, or Mar to her family and friends, was born on November 15th, 1977, in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Johnny Reed and Tamara Mozell (McBride) Johnson. She grew up in Tahlequah with two brothers, Johnny and Brandon, and graduated from Tahlequah High School. Mar was a golden glove in high school softball. She loved the great outdoors, and hunting and fishing were some of her favorite pastimes. She had a lot of savvy and could live off the land, and enjoyed traveling around with her friends, seeing the sights and taking each day, one day at a time. She worked in lawn care and loved working with her Dad and uncle around the town doing yardwork, she never tired of being outdoors. The pride and joy of her life was her son, Zachery. She never tired of talking about him and what he did with his talents. She was always in the company of her trusty canine companions, “Penny” and “Little Girl”. She spoiled them like they were her kids. She had an infectious laugh, and was feisty and outgoing. She had no problem telling you exactly what she thought. She also possessed an ornery streak, and liked to joke and tease. She loved life, just the way she found it, and the people that she met were pretty special too. Mar passed all too soon from this life on January 1st, 2023, in Tahlequah, OK. She was 45 years old and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jimmy and Zona Johnson and John and Lavada Vance. She also joins her mother, and two aunts, Sheila McBride and Naomi McBride.

Those left to cherish her memory include her dad, Johnny Reed Johnsons of Tahlequah, OK. She also leaves her son, Zachery Johnson of Tennessee. Her two brothers include Johhny Wright of Tahlequah and Brandon Thompson of Kansas, OK. She leaves her niece, Allie Travis of Muskogee, her aunt, Charlotte Vance of Tulsa, uncle James Johnson of Tahlequah, and cousins, Jake, Jax and Jamie Johnson, as well as a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Funeral services for Tamarah Bryanna Johnson will be held on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Allen Nevel officiating.
