Tanya Sue Christy

Tanya Sue Christy, 47, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed from this life on September 9, 2025. She will be remembered for her warm heart, adventurous spirit, and the love she poured into her family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to know her. Tanya lived life with kindness at the center—whether through her work as a nurse, her devotion as a mother, or her simple joy in caring for others. Her laughter, compassion, and fearless sense of adventure will continue to shine in the memories she leaves behind.

Tanya dedicated over 20 years of her life as a nurse, serving with kindness and compassion in the healthcare field. Beyond her career, she was a devoted mother, a true caregiver at heart, and a woman whose love for animals (especially her dogs) was unmatched. With a gypsy soul and an adventurous spirit, Tanya found joy in traveling, exploring, and embracing life’s experiences. Her kind-hearted nature left an impression on everyone who knew her.

Tanya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Janice Dilley Parker, Jimmie Graham, Harley James Lang, and Barbara Sue Lang.

She is survived by her daughters, Courtlyn Brown, and Cassidy Forrest; her parents, Terry Lang (Lynn), Vickey Graham (Terry); her grandmother, Carolyn Lang; her siblings, Michael Lang (Nicole), Trisha Lang (Randy), and Carissa Fowler; her aunt, Dana Germany; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and longtime friends.

Tanya’s legacy is one of compassion, laughter, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
