Terry Lee Johnson

Sand Springs, OK- Funeral services for Terry Lee Johnson will be held on Friday, June 29th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Mr. James Mock officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Pallbearers for Terry Lee include Mike Jones, Eric Jones, Billy Lemon, Edward Broadrick, Jason Johnson, and David Hewitt. Honorary Pallbearers include Chad Smith and Mike Wilmon.

Terry Lee Johnson was born on December 27, 1969 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of Lee Roy and Elsie (Wilmon) Johnson. Terry Lee can only be described as a determined, independent, fun loving, wonderful man. An accident in early childhood left Terry with a disability that may have hampered many, but it never slowed Terry down. His vision was greatly decreased, but Terry proved with a lot of grit and determination, you can read the books with a magnifying glass and graduate from Hulbert High School, and later move to Tahlequah to live and work. Terry worked as a Vendor for the State of Oklahoma. When he wasn’t working, he loved NASCAR and his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. There was no better music than Elvis Presley and occasionally, Terry did the “Elvis-do” as well. If the weather was warm, he would get the pontoon and jet ski and head to Ft. Gibson Lake or Grand for an afternoon with his family. Terry was fearless and fun. Just grab one of his many nieces or nephews and take them for a spin on a golf-cart, vision optional. The best part of any day was his family. He loved and cherished every minute of every holiday they spent sharing a laugh or a meal. The Lord called Terry home for a new adventure on June 24th, 2012 in Sand Springs, OK. He was 42 years young. His smile and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by his family and those lucky enough to call Terry friend.

Terry is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and his sister, Eileen Broadrick.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann Collins and husband Doyle of Sand Springs, OK, Leroy Johnson and fiancé Deborah Richardson of Skiatook, OK, Bobby Joe Johnson and wife Thelma of Inola, OK Donnie Andrew Johnson and wife Melvina of Wagoner, OK, Chester Johnson and wife Teresa of Wagoner, OK, and Jerry Dean Johnson and wife Tanya also of Wagoner, OK. His legacy lives on in his nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
