Titus Blanket

Titus Wesley Blanket was born February 9, 1966 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Warren and Shirley (Smith) Wing. He was a graduate of Hulbert High School in 1984 and went on to work for Cherokee Nation Housing Authority for several years. He married the love of his life, Teena Teague, on July 8, 1989 and together they shared 30 years of memories until her passing in 2018. His greatest passion in life was taking care of his family and raising game chickens. Titus spent 40 years happily wandering the yard, tending to his chickens. His interest in sport led him on many adventures, going to derbies with Teena and Stan. They traveled all over Oklahoma and other states doing what they enjoyed. He won many derbies and had great success in the sport. He cherished the memories he made taking his granddaughters out to watch the sport. Time spent with his son, Stan and granddaughters, Alyvia and Abygail meant the world to him. Even when his health was declining, his granddaughters never failed to put a smile on his face. On Monday, September 22, 2025, Titus was called to his eternal home at the age of 59 years old. He will be greatly missed.

Titus is preceded in death by his wife, Teena Blanket, parents, Warren and Shirley Wing, father and mother-in-law, Frank and Shirley Teague and sister, Valarie Jenkins. .

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Stan Shade of the home and daughter, Jordan Rhae Towie and husband Dillion, granddaughters, Alyvia Shade and Abygail Shade, also of the home, one brother, Johnny Jackson and wife Michele, sister-in-law, Shari Pruitt and husband Jerry and brother-in-law, Frank Teague and wife Julie. Also to survive him include his nephews and nieces, Chris Jenkins and wife Kacee, Lindsey Kilpatrick and husband Brandon, Nick Pruitt and wife Terri, Jake Pruitt and wife Nikky, Trey Teague and wife Stormey, and Calan Teague, special friend, Judy Billman, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Rest easy. Titus, may the road be endless and the field be full of game chickens.

Funeral services for Titus will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Hulbert with Brother Nick Pruitt officiating and obituary reading by Jake Pruitt. Titus will be laid to rest in New Hope Cemetery in Hulbert.

Serving as pallbearers are Fabian "Chooch" Keener, Jerry Miller, Chris Jenkins, Brandon Kilpatrick, Frank Teague, Larry Paul Blackman and Sid Whitekiller. Honorary pallbearers include Rodney Teague, Trey Teague, David Hogner and Brent Hogner.
