Tony DeWayne Glass

Tahlequah, OK - Funeral services for Tony Dewayne Glass will be held on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Bill Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at the Chuculate Cemetery in Adair County, OK. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, OK.

Tony Dewayne Glass was born on June 2nd, 1965 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Joe and Peggy Jean (Springwater) Glass. After school he received his BBA, MIS Bachelor’s degree from NSU. Tony was hired by IBM in Boulder. CO, where he worked until AT&T acquired IBM Network Services. Tony worked as a Network Administrator for AT&T Communications Company. He found his calling in life when he was started college and a teacher gave him an old computer to work on. Tony possessed a gifted mind and was quite talented on a computer. Whenever he wasn’t working, Tony loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, storm tracker, and boating enthusiast. He loved watching trains and knew the history of the railroad extensively. He collected guns and loved anything to do with aerospace. He was very proud of his heritage and promoted the Cherokee People every chance he got. Tony believed in hard work and the benefits of an education, encouraging every member of his family to make the most of their time through education. He was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease and joke, especially his nieces. Tony passed from this life on July 11th, 2012 in Tahlequah, OK. He was 47 years old. He will be greatly missed by his many family as well as many friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Jean Glass in 2012, his sister, Donna Kay Springwater in 1999, his uncle, Don Springwater, and his grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Darleen Denny of Wisconsin, his loving father, Joe Glass of Stilwell, OK, his brother Waylon Glass and wife Lisa of Tahlequah, OK, his four adored nieces, Stacy Glass, Samantha Glass, Skylar Glass, and Stephanie Wisdom and husband Drew of Tahlequah. He also leaves one great niece, Amiah Wisdom of Tahlequah, two aunts, Maudie Wolfe and husband Andy of Pryor, OK, and aunt Viola Glass of Stilwell, OK as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
