Victoria devoted her life to caring for and educating others. Her early teaching career began in Muldrow, Oklahoma, as a special education teacher. She later retired from the preschool special education department at Tahlequah Public Schools before beginning a second chapter in Alaska, where she taught special education in Bethel for nine years. During her time there, she traveled to 26 remote villages as an itinerant teacher, embracing the adventure and beauty of Alaskan life. She also worked as a personal care aide for the elderly, specialized in caring for adults with disabilities, and coached Special Olympics for many years. In her younger years, she worked as a waitress and at Midwestern Nursery.
Victoria was a woman of Baptist faith who found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, thrift shopping, attending music festivals, and creating handmade quilts and gifts for family members. She especially treasured trading books with her friend Pat Henson and making memories with those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Christopher Wolfe and partner Dusty, and Stephanie Wolfe; her sisters, Brenda Floyd and husband Thomas, Geneva Spears, Carolyn Allen, and Marilyn Cooper; 6 grandchildren, Peyton Meech, Brooke Corbell, Christian Corbell, Colin Corbell, Blake Wolfe, and Destiny Wolfe; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, Ebb Allen and Juanita June (Suggs) Allen; her husband, James Wolfe; brothers G.W. Keener and Anthony Allen; sisters Anita Jones and Loretta Carter; sisters-in-law Becky Wolfe, Nelda Littlejohn, and Dixie Cornsilk; and brothers-in-law Bill Wolfe and Slick Cooper.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Cura Hospice for the compassion and care shown during Victoria’s final days.
