Virginia Goodnight graduated from Beauty Technical College and had her own beauty shop at Go Ye Village in Tahlequah for twenty years.
She married Billy Ray Goodnight on September 5, 1959, in Carson City, Nevada and together they raised two children. Virginia always stayed active outside mowing and keeping her yard pristine. Over the years she enjoyed feeding her grandchildren and making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for them.
Virginia is survived by: her husband Billy Ray of 67 years, her son Eddie Berner (Scharlyn) of Tahlequah, her daughter Cindy Berner (Gary Nottingham) of Tahlequah, an extra daughter Cindy Wagner Tahlequah; her grandchildren Joey McClelland (Kristie) Helotes, TX, Michelle Nix (Jerod) of Waldron, AR, Amber Braden (Terry) of Tahlequah, Joshua Berner (Samantha) Tahlequah, David McClelland (Lindsay) Tahlequah, Nikki McClelland (Kenton Lee) Fayetteville, AR, Jace Wagner, Tahlequah, Heather McClelland, Muskogee. 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 2:00pm at Tahlequah City Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Tornado Santillo officiating.
Serving as pallbearers include Josh Berner, David McClelland, Terry Braden, Kenton Lee, Gary Nottingham, and Jace Wagner.
