William Mose Jr. or Tom to his family and friends, was born on October 5th, 1957 in Tahlequah, Ok, the son of William Mose Sr and Lucille Cabbagehead. He grew up with two sisters and one brother, Mary, Kathleen and Jeffery Mose. He graduated from Tahlequah High School and then started college classes studying in Mechanics. He worked at several different jobs over the years, ironworker, salesperson at Speedy’s tireshop and running the bar called Frenchies. He worked the most at Tahlequah High school as a Custodial Worker, a job he enjoyed. When he wasn’t working, he liked to go bowling or pitch horseshoes. Noodling for catfish was always an adventure. He would go to yard sales and look for the elusive bargain and bbq some Indian Steak on the grill at home. He never missed a chance to go fishing and camping, and any evening spent at the dirt track watching the races was a good night. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, found it humorous. He could take out his guitar and play some of the sweetest rock-n-roll and blues ever heard. Tom really enjoyed spending time with his family, just to gather for a meal or spend a little time on the holidays. You could often find Tom in the company of his three canine companions, Roxie, Little Big Girl and Spuds. Tom was always upbeat, cheerful and liked his life just the way he found it, one day at a time. A Christian by faith, the Lord called Tom home from his labors on June 29th, 2021 in Welling, OK with the family he loved by his side. He was 63 years, eight months, and 24 days old.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Cabbagehead, his mother and father, sister, Mary Mose and brother Jeffery Mose.
Those left to celebrate his life include his sister, Kathleen Briggs and husband Pastor Jimmy Briggs of Tahlequah, OK, and three nephews, Michael Mose and wife Amanda of Welling, Robert Mose of Welling and Jimmy Briggs Jr of Tahlequah. He leaves several great nieces and nephews, Michaela Mose of Park Hill, Michael Mose Jr of Park Hill, Darin Briggs and wife Adison of Tahlequah, and one great great nephew, Kobe Trey Briggs of Tahlequah, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
