My heartfelt condolences to James and to the family. I still cannot believe that Alda is gone.  Her passion and spirit will live on because once a Uni, always a Uni. What a huge loss to the scrapping community. And even more so to her family and much loved son. Rest in  peace, my friend.

Your smiling face and care will always a memory that I will carry with me. Sending my condolence to the family and friends of Alda. I will regret for the rest of my life for not making the trip down and meet with her. May her soul rest in peace in the heavenly abodes.

It just seems impossible that she is gone.  I will smile and think of her whenever I see a unicorn.

I will miss the time I spent in her store taking classes, attending the crops or just stopping by to say hello. She really liked it when I brought ice cream or chocolate with me! She was such a giving person and really encouraged me to try new techniques and was willing to show me other projects to expand my crafting skills. I will truly miss our long talks about family, the child, politics and our love of crafting.You will be missed.

Even though it was a few years ago, I remember Alda's beautiful bright smile and how she lit up the room with her presence.  She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt and friend ~ she will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

What do you say when you lose one of your best friends? No, really, I'm asking. I never thought I would live in a world without Alda. But the sad fact remains that she is no longer with us, and I will treasure her Christmas card for the rest of my days.

Alda was such a charming, comforting, and loving individual, and this was reflected in everything she did. From the magnificent works of art she created to the impression she left on all who had the luck to meet her. Through her, I found another family -- my Uni sisters -- and Alda was the magnetic force of nature that first bonded us together. We are all better for having known her.

In our hearts and in our works, she will always be alive. The spirit of Flying Unicorn will guide us in the months to follow, and in her memory we will continue to create, to make the most of every moment so that she can be proud of us.

I will miss Alda tremendously. She was a very sweet and genuinely caring individual. She helped me grow into a more confident and capable person. She reached out to me and offered to help me stretch my wings when I felt like I couldn't fly. She made me feel genuinely cared for, even when she barely knew me. I hope she was able to see and feel how much I appreciated her, and what she did for myself & others, through my words and actions. I considered her to be a mentor to me, as I'm sure others did as well.

She will forever be my flying unicorn, and I hope she's able to share her magic through those that she touched while she was still with us on Earth.

My prayers for James and Alda family.Alda will be so missed. She is the kindest person. I always shop at The Flying Unicorn store, and loved her Kits of the Month. I loved all the challenges she had in her Forum. Us girls had so many nice chats, and Alda always took time for all of us. She created a community of crafters, it was our safe little world. I'm gonna miss my sweet beautiful friend. Alda was my mentor.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Alda's passing. She was one of a kind and special to so many people. I enjoyed online shopping from the Flying Unicorn and receiving the monthly kits. I loved her weekly online live classes (Uni Night) from which I learned so much and was able to chat with Alda and all of the Uni Girls. My prayers and thoughts go out to her son, family and friends who loved her so dearly. She will be greatly missed.
