Alexander (Al) Hancock of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away at his home with his family by his side October 16, 2024. He was 76 years old. Al was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Alexander V Hancock, Sr. and Margarerite Houk Hancock.
He graduated from the University of Alabama and was a Residential Building Contractor and owned his own company for over 40 years and later was a traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent. Al was a person with a wonderful personality and never met a stranger, he was a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Carmen Maria Hancock, Daughter, Ashley Maria Hancock, Sons, Michael Alexander Hancock, Adam Hoyt Hancock and Anders Jared Hancock. Sister-in-Law Leah Owens Ashey (Mike), Brother-in - Law Gerald Hoyt Jones (Inga) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Miles Hancock.
A celebration of life is planned at a later date.
