Alice Jewell Thompson, 81, of Tallahassee died Tuesday (9/4) at Big Bend Hospice. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, she came to Tallahassee in 1985 from Port St Lucie. Alice enjoyed a long career as a legal secretary and when she was in Baltimore, MD she had worked for two of the major law firms. Family was always a priority and she got a lot of her joy from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a golfer and spent time baking.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Robert C.; daughters: Sheryl Goad of Tallahassee, Nancy Flynn of Houston, TX; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and inurnment will be at Tallahassee National Cemetery at a later date.
