

Allan George Porostovsky, 78, of Tallahassee Florida passed away at his home Monday December 5, 2016. He was born May 30, 1938 in Lorain Ohio. Porostovsky was a Veteran of The United States Army and a Cost Accountant for 43 years for Moen & Stanadyne Distribution Center in Lorain Ohio, Fort Wayne Indiana, and Tallahassee Florida. He retired in 2006. Porostovsky had a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University in Cleveland Ohio. He was a very active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Loved his church, the Men of Good Shepherd (MOGS) brothers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Florida State Seminoles, and the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include his wife, Jo (Nee Messina), of 52 years, sons Dean (wife Wendy), Steven (wife Mary), and Allan (wife Jasmine). Two Grandson's Devin & Jackson. Two granddaughters Jazmin & Regina. Brother Norm (wife Dot), Lorain Ohio, Sister Georgia Wintrick of North Ridgeview Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary (Nee Bozik) Porostovsky, sister Patrice (Nee Porostovsky) Batten, son Douglas Anthony and two grandsons Payton and Jacob.
Memorial service will be Saturday December 10, 2016 at 1pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church followed by reception. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Project, Big Bend Hospice and Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
