The Keller family will receive friends at Culley’s MeadowWood – Timberlane Road Chapel, from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018. A Celebration of life will follow at 7:30pm
Stacia was born in Omaha, NE to Leo and Stacia Bolin and lived there until finishing college. She became a TWA airline stewardess and loved her flying days. She met her husband-to-be, Bob Keller, who served in the Coast Guard with her brother. He was discharged in 1957 and returned home to Chicago where Stacia was based. They dated and married in 1958. Bob worked for General Mills at the time and they transferred several times to Kentucky, Minnesota and back to Illinois. While living in Illinois, Stacia often volunteered for the Red Cross. When Bob retired from General Mills, they moved to Tallahassee and owned the Big Top Deli in the Governor's Square Mall for fifteen years. After that, Stacia worked for CPAs Leo Deverteuil and Wanda Poppell for eighteen years.
Stacia was a devoted volunteer for the Gulf Winds Track Club and the Tallahassee community for over thirty years. She was honored with a Supporting Athletes Award by the Gulf Winds Track Club in 2014. She was the best race Sherpa ever! Though race events, Stacia and Bob got the opportunity to travel to many countries in Europe and cities across the Unites States.
Stacia is survived by her husband Bob of sixty years, daughter Karen Davenport, her husband Louie and their sons Cade and Talan of Apopka, FL, and daughter Laura Smith, her husband Terry and their daughter Emmaleigh of Waco, TX.
Stacia's family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude for the compassion and loving care by her many friends and care givers. A very special thank you to Karen Muñoz who has been the best of both. Stacia was very much loved and will be greatly missed!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Big Bend Hospice.
