Anita Mulders, age 93, of Tallahassee passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was born in Ambarawa, Indonesia to Willem Alexander Hendrik Frederik van Hulssen and Dolphine Anita Toedoes van Hulssen on January 27, 1922. She was a gifted seamstress and clothes designer who designed many of the curtains that still hang in the Florida state capital in Tallahassee.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 59 years, Gerrit Mulders. She is survived by six children, Anita Marceaux of Mobile, Al.; Geralda “Rally” (Troy) Riberon of Homerville, Ga.; Arthur Mulders of Tallahassee; Margaret Desherlia of Tallahassee; Ingrid “Inky” (Mark) Cummings of Crystal River, Fl.; and Eugene Mulders of Tallahassee; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am Monday, October 19, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Chapel at 700 Timberlane Road with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Interment will be at MeadowWood Memorial Park after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice House at 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, Fl., 32308.
