

Born in Taylor County KY, and a resident of Tallahassee since 1978 Mrs. Hardison worked as a secretary at North Florida Christian School, and various medical offices in Tallahassee, including that of Dr. Michael and Jana Forsthoefel who were also dear friends to her.
Even after officially retiring, she continued to stay busy working at Bradfordville’s Chick Fil A as a dining room hostess where everyone from workers to guest called her “Miss Mae”. She brought smiles to everyone, especially when she brought in her blueberry muffins and her famous cheesecake brownies.
Her home always had a welcome feeling for family and friends alike. She had a caring heart and loved to cook, host, and serve others with a classic southern hospitality style.
She was also an active choir member of North Florida Baptist Church (formerly Temple Baptist Church).
She is survived by her son Howard "Hoss" Hardison and his wife Marsha of Tallahassee; her daughter, Shannon Renae Smith, and her husband Marcus Smith of Tallahassee FL; grandchildren; Robert Hardison, Sarah Hardison, Rebecca Smith; and brother Bobby Pierce.
Mrs. Hardison was preceded in death by her husband Howard Ray Hardison to whom she was married to for 49 years.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, EDT, Sunday, May 7th at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3705 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
The family will also receive friends on Sunday, May 7th at 1:30 PM prior to the service.
