Barbara Allen Alexander

Barbara Allen Alexander, 77, relocated to her permanent home in Heaven on January 13, 2025. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter and only child of Jamie and Vera Gainey. The family moved to Broward County, Florida when Barbara was ten. She later became a Radiologic Technologist, and worked in South Florida, Southern California, and Chicago before finishing her career at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. In 1991, she married Dr. Gregg Alexander who was by her side along every step of her chronic illness journey and at the time of her departure. She was a Bible-believing Christian who never questioned the Love, Grace, and Goodness of God, and never asked “Why me?” She knew that she would be joyfully received by her Savior, Jesus Christ – which has now happened.

A public visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A burial following the service will occur Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
