B.J. was born in Clanton, Alabama to Margaret and Richard Scott in 1944. She was the middle sister to Ann Scott Weiss and Susan Scott Edwards. She met the love of her life, Tommy Tiffin, when she was 14 years old and he was 15. They remained inseparable until the day of her passing.
The couple married in 1966 and had three daughters: Paige Flynn (Frank), Lacye Tiffin, and Tiffany Tiffin. They had nine grandchildren; Scott Flynn, Gabby Bond, Eve Bond, Livia Monod, Hannah Flynn, Andrew Monod, Jack Davis, Lilly Davis, and Gracie Davis.
In 1984 Tom and B.J. decided to leave their hometown and move to St.George Island, Florida where they lived happily until her death.
