Born in Honolulu, HI, she grew up in Tallahassee, FL where she graduated from Leon High School. She met and married USAF airman Charles E. Dudley, Sr. and together they raised four children while traveling the United States and Europe: Deborah Kim, Melissa, Charles Jr., and Sandra. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty Jean was an expert seamstress and avid crafter. She spent many hours creating handmade treasures for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Dudley Sr., and daughter, Melissa Diane.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Kim Dudley, Charles E. Dudley Jr. (Amy), and Sandra J. Hilbert (Jeff); her grandchildren, Robert Mixon, Brad Usry (Tiffany), Megan Lord (Dylan), Sarah Mixon, Ryan Hilbert and Bryson Hilbert; and her great-grandchildren, Elijah Lord, River Mixon, and Mackenzie Usry.
