Betty was born in Prattville, Alabama the youngest of seven, to Lonella Rast and John Singleton in 1933. In 1951 Betty met and married James Killette who served many years in the US Army. She was a proud military wife and mother. She spent her spare time volunteering. Once her family settled in Tallahassee, she became a realtor and she later worked for USPS until the age of 80. She had a strong love of animals and enjoyed cooking.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2016. She is survived by her son, Mark, and her daughter, Dawn. She is also survived by many family members who she loved.
She is loved and she will be greatly missed. She was a very good mother.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida 32311.
