
She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, and raised in Vidalia, Georgia. She had been a resident of Crawfordville for 38 years. She was a graduate of the 1950 class of Ocala High School, Ocala, FL. She worked many years as a bookkeeper but found her true calling as a Home Health Care Provider. She had the unique gift of compassion, understanding and caring for other people. She was a member of Seminole Baptist Church of Tallahassee, FL and a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star, Riverview Chapter #265, Jacksonville, FL.
Her mother Maymie Blue (Shivley) Mills, her father Benjamin F. Mills, her husband Robert S. Richardson ; her son Rodney A. Richardson and a brother: James F. Moirris preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by a sister Bernice Hartley (Clarence) of Jacksonville, FL; a brother: William C. Mills of Topeka, KA; a daughter: Deborah Ann Richardson Cobb (Bill) of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Ray Andrew Richardson (Melanie) of Tallahassee, FL, Chad Everett Richardson (Kris) of Tallahassee, FL; a Daughter-in-law Sheri Powers (Robby) of Tallahassee; two adopted daughters, Pat Brumback (Jerry) of Jacksonville, FL, Kelley Tison (Brian) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and four grandchildren, David Donnell Cobb, Hailey Nichole Richardson, Kelsey Jordan Richardson and Riley Everett Richardson, also two adopted granddaughters, Brea R. Smith and Kayla M. Powers, three nieces, and four nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 :00 A.M., Saturday, Dec. 11 th at Culley's Meadow Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road (850) 893-4177 at the MeadowWood Memorial Park in Tallahassee. Celebration of her life will follow in the Meadow Wood Room following the Memorial Service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice,
