

Bronwood “Bron” Earl Williams, 86, of Tallahassee passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2022. Bron was born on November 26, 1936 in Whigham, Georgia to Earl B Williams and Loubelia (Owens) Williams. He served as a combat photographer and field radio repairman in the U.S Army in Alaska from 1959 – 1962, and served in the Army Reserves from 1962 - 1965. In June 2012, he took a memorial trip back to Anchorage, Alaska and visited where he was stationed at back in the 60’s. He lived all of his life in Tallahassee, Florida, graduating from Leon High School in 1956. He worked at Lykes Electronics, Craig Electronics, and Manager at United Building Products in Tallahassee before he retired in 2009.
Bron’s true joy was the time he spent with family and friends, along with his regular ‘like clockwork’ weekend brunches at the family owned restaurants ‘The Egg Café & Eatery’. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend – and Bron had many, many friends. His pleasant, quiet and gentle nature was loved and respected by everyone. Bron will truly be missed by all.
He is survived by his daughters Brenda Lundberg (John) of Tallahassee, Flo Schmidt (Mike) of Tallahassee, Melody Martin (Dwayne) of Bainbridge, and son Steven Williams (Amber) of Sneads, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding his death are his parents, Earl B. and Loubelia Williams, his wife Carol Callaway, daughter Kim Donner, and sisters Doris Heberle, Joyce Coley, and Helen Clayton.
Interment with Military Honors will take place on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2pm at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
